Alaska Airlines reduces January flight schedule by about 10% -Breaking

(Reuters.) – Alaska Airlines, a unit from Alaska Air (NYSE:) Group announced Thursday that it would reduce its departures from the airport by approximately 10% until January due to an increase in Omicron infections, and an increase in workers calling in sick.

According to the statement, “As we enter 2022 the ongoing impacts of Omicron continue to disrupt all our lives and have resulted in unprecedented employee sick calls that have adversely affected our ability operate our airline reliable,” said the company.
