AMSTERDAM (Reuters). Lawyers claiming they represent “100” institutional shareholders have brought a class-action lawsuit against Airbus at a Dutch Court. The suit alleges that they were liable for damages totalling 300 million euros ($339 Million) as a result company misconduct.

The lawsuit was filed Jan. 3, by the Foundation for Investor Loss Compensation at The Hague District Court. It claims that investors sustained losses when they bought shares in Airbus SE OTC:. The company had withheld information regarding corruption and overpriced the shares. The suit also names accountants KMPG and Ernst & Young as defendants.

Airbus spokeswoman said that the company will not comment on the ongoing litigation. In its third quarter 2021 earnings, Airbus disclosed that it faced civil claims in The Netherlands. Airbus stated in its third quarter 2021 earnings report that it believes it has “solid ground to defend itself against these allegations.”

KMPG and Ernst & Young did not immediately respond to requests for comment.

The filing was first reported by Het Financieele Dagblad, a Dutch newspaper. Airbus has its headquarters in Toulouse, France, and an office registered in Leiden, the Netherlands.

A deal was reached between the U.S., British and French authorities for a four-year settlement to an investigation into corrupt sales practices and bribery.

According to the filing, “Over 100 institutional investors are now members of the Foundation and there is a high probability that this number will increase.”

“The current participants have caused damage of around 300 million euros.” It stated that the number of participants will increase as more people join.

A Dutch court filing requests that the representatives of defendants appear in court at 6 April.
