WASHINGTON, (Reuters) – The Biden administration signed Friday’s first contract involving 500 million quick COVID-19 test results that it will distribute free of charge to Americans who ask for them.

Further details are not yet available. After being discovered late last year and replacing Delta, Omicron has rapidly spread to the United States. This virus is now the predominant strain in the country.
