DraftKings Bounces After N.Y. OKs Mobile Sports Betting -Breaking

Investing.com — After Thursday’s announcement that four licensed mobile betting companies were approved by the N.Y State Gaming Commission to process and accept sports betting, DraftKings Inc shares rose more than 4.5%

These four companies include DraftKings. FanDuel. Caesars. (NASDAQ:) Sportsbook. Rush Street Interactive can start its operations at 9 am ET on Saturday. 

DraftKings already informed investors that it will open New York operations on Saturday, just hours before the announcement.

Jason Robins is the CEO, Co-Founder and Chairman of DraftKings’ Board. He stated in yesterday’s press release: “We are thrilled to be able offer millions passionate New Yorkers the best rated DraftKings Mobile and Online Sportsbook.

 “We want to extend a special thanks to Governor Hochul, Senator Addabbo, Assemblyman Pretlow, the New York Gaming Commission along with the tireless efforts of our dedicated DraftKings team for making this a reality.”
