REUTERS/Anushree FadnavisNEW DELHI, (Reuters) – The Indian economy will grow 9.2% in the fiscal year that ends in March according to the Ministry of Statistics in its initial estimate.
This would be compared to the 7.3% contraction in previous years.
Private economists are reducing their growth projections for the fiscal year 2021/22 from more than 10% due to disruptions from Omicron COVID-19’s variant surge that has affected consumer sentiment as well as economic activity.
