Mushroom Supplement Label VidaCap Set to Release Rare, Collectible NFT’s on Ethereum Blockchain

VidaCap, a popular U.S. mushroom supplement brand is set to launch 50 unique digital NFT designs. They will be available for sale on OpenSea Marketplace February 7, 2017. The entirety of proceeds from the sale of the NFT’s will be donated to Alzheimer’s research.

For those unfamiliar with the technology, NFT’s (non-fungible tokens) are bits of code that assign ownership to unique digital creations. NFT owners are able to buy and sell their digital assets, in the same way as stock traders and cryptocurrency investors. Unlike traditional stocks, however, most NFT’s live on the cryptocurrency blockchain, and are traded through OpenSea – a digital marketplace specifically for the buying and selling of NFT’s.

The idea behind this project is double-sided.
Jeff Yauck, spokesperson for VidaCap.

“We are committed to increasing awareness about functional mushrooms and raising education. We also want to help Alzheimer’s research by giving all proceeds.”
VidaCap has created five unique digital designs for the NFT release, one for each different type of mushroom species they formulate (Lion’s Mane, Turkey Tail, Reishi, Cordyceps, and Chaga). OpenSea will release 50 NFT cards that can be used in combination with other background designs. VidaCap will be offering a complimentary bottle of mushroom capsules for those who buy an NFT in the first week. Individuals who purchase NFT within the first week will receive 125 collectible cards.

“This is a charity event. It’s about education and outreach.”
Yauck says

The exciting world of NFT/crypto technology is an excellent way to help a cause and raise funds for good causes.
