WILMINGTON DE (Reuters) – Two U.S. officials will argue Friday before the Supreme Court to prevent President Joe Biden from ordering vaccine mandates. The two men tested positive for COVID-19. Their offices confirmed that they would present their arguments remotely.

According to their offices the Ohio SolicitorGeneral Benjamin Flowers and Louisiana General Solicitor Liz Murrill will speak against vaccination and testing requirements via phone.

Ben, who has been vaccinated after Christmas and had received a booster of vaccines, was positive for COVID-19. According to an Ohio attorney general’s statement, his symptoms were extremely mild and he is now fully healed.” He is arguing from a remote location because he was required to submit yesterday’s PCR results.

Murrill’s office stated she would argue remotely in accordance with COVID protocols, without providing further details.

This Friday’s arguments at the U.S. Supreme Court were about Republican state officials and business organizations trying to block President Joe Biden’s two vaccine mandates. The one that applies to employers who employ more than 100 employees and the other for health facilities during a surge in COVID-19-related cases was heard.

The case may also be joined by other parties who will present their arguments personally.

Because of the pandemic, Supreme Court had to close its buildings to the public.
