Tesla raises Full Self Driving software price to $12,000 in U.S., Musk says -Breaking

(Reuters) – Tesla (NASDAQ) Inc Chief Executive Officer Elon Tesla tweeted Friday that Tesla will increase the U.S. cost of its advanced driver assistance software, called “Full Self Driving”, to $12,000 starting Jan. 17.

It has been less than two years ago that Tesla raised full self-driving prices to $10,000, from $8,000 in 2020.

Musk stated that FSD will be widely released and the monthly subscription prices for subscribers will go up.

“FSD price is set to rise when we are closer to FSD production codes release,” he tweeted.

Tesla is expanding its testing of the upgraded FSD software. This system provides driving-assist features such as turning automatically and changing lanes. However, the features don’t make vehicles autonomous.
