Deutsche Bank promotes insider Trisha Taneja in ESG push -Breaking

(Reuters) – Deutsche Bank (DE:) announced Wednesday that Trisha Taneja has been appointed global head of environment, social and governance for the origination division.

Taneja, who joined Deutsche Bank in April 2020 as the head of its sustainable finance group, helped to build the ESG advisory unit within their origination and advisory teams.

Formerly, she worked for Sustainalytics which is owned by Morningstar. This firm rates ESG performance in listed companies.

Deutsche Bank’s origination and advisory service caters to large corporate clients and financial institutions. They also provide advice on capital structures, sustainability ratings and other matters.

The global firms are taking measures to lower their emissions and diversify boards to raise their ESG scores. Banks and regulators alike are looking at ways to include climate risk management within the financial regulatory system.
