OpenSea’s New Competitor LooksRare Exceeds $322M in SalesLooksRare was launched January 10th as a NFT marketplace. Founded by two anonymous creators Zodd and Guts, the platform markets itself to be “By NFT People, for NFT People.”
LooksRare traders can get rewards and LOOKS utility tokens by buying or selling NFTs.
LooksRare offers 2% basic sales fees and zero private sales fees, which allows you to attract more clients.
According to Dune analytics, LookRare’s transaction volume has exceeded OpenSea’s on the 11th of January ($322M and $151M, respectively). LooksRare had $77M of sales on the 12th, OpenSea at $24M. However, there are some misleading numbers.
“Due to the mechanism of transaction mining, LooksRare has a large number of repeated false transactions. Meebits transaction volume has reached 52.771 ETC. Whales are constantly repeating transactions to obtain Tokens,”
