REMILAN (Reuters – Alessandro Benetton is the son of Luciano Benetton founder of Benetton Group, and will be taking over as chairman of Edizione, the company announced on Thursday.
This move puts the Benettons in control of Edizione, as the company looks to turn the page following the 2018 collapse of Genoa Bridge. The finalization of Autostrade’s sale of Italian motorway assets is expected before March.
Edizione said also that Atlantia’s stake had increased from around 23% to about 33%.
Also, the holding company owns shares in Autogrill caterer, insurance Generali (MI) and Cellnex telecom masts group Cellnex investment bank Mediobanca.
