Companies all over the world continue to acknowledge and support crypto. Because of the constant development, it provides endless use cases for everyone in this space.
Bribe Protocol announced recently the completion of its strategic and seed funding round, which raised $4 million. It will be used as an incentive to vote in DAO Governance with Voter Extractable value (VEV).
Spartan Group organizes the event and participants are keen to learn more about DAO infrastructure. Dragonfly is represented by Hypersphere and Fundamental Labs. Other participants are Fenbushi Capital. Rarestone Capital. GravityX. Shima Capital. Figment. AAVE joined the Aave Bribe Pool round. The Bribe protocol was developed by Advanced Blockchain AG and Composable Labs. Condorcet is the Bribe founder.
We have gathered support from our early supporters to officially establish this vital mechanism that DAOs use to reach quorums and make decisions: the voting markets. By moving this activity on-chain, we are ensuring that retail users can also participate, as well as providing data and case studies necessary to really understand what is going on ‘under-the-hood’ in DAO ecosystems.
The Bribe network will release its first VEV product for staking governance tokens — the Aave Bribe pool later this month. Furthermore, another pool will be announced — the Tokemak Bribe pool after the launch of the Aave Bribe pool.
VEV is a technology-based platform that auctions powerful DAO vote coalitions. The DAO-specific Brib pools are where the governance tokens of depositors are staked. Instead of accumulating large amounts over time of DAO tokens, the Bidders take out USDC to borrow voting power from their preferred Bribe pool. They can then support one or all of the governance proposals within the specified timeframe. As such, the highest offer is distributed to the pool as an income. Bribe’s infrastructure is being built to encourage governance participation. We are thrilled to help. An open and fair marketplace for auctions of voting power to be coordinated is an important new DeFi primitive. This will allow for increased participation in governance while creating new yields for tokenholders.
On the other hand, the funding will allow Bribe to enter as a key player in Aave’s governance and ramp up activity in the Aave DAO, using the raised AAVE to bootstrap participation. A stake contract forms the Aave Bribe Pool. Trail of Bits is currently auditing it. Stela Labs are also looking into the matter.
