China draws a line for NFTs during its Cryptocurrencies clampdown.

China fears that its ban on cryptocurrency use in China will cause it to lose out on the NFT boom’s economic benefits. China will make clear distinctions between cryptocurrency and nonfungible tokens before its crypto crackdown affects local NFT businesses. This is similar to what it did for digital currencies.

The South China Morning Post reported in a report from Cointelegraph that the Blockchain-based Service Network, backed by the government, has developed systems for helping people and enterprises build apps and platforms to manage NFTs.

This project is officially called the BSN -Distributed Digital Certificate (BSN – DDC). It aims at implementing non-crypto crypto NFTs. The interfaces provide programming interfaces to build user portals, and other applications that can accept fiat money.

Yifan He is the CEO of Red Date Technology’s tech support provider BSN. He stated that Red Date Technology would utilize an accessible permission blockchain for its upcoming infrastructure. He also stressed that NFTs do not have any legal problems in China so long as they aren’t used with other cryptocurrency or (BTC).

According to him, “public chains are not legal in China” and he spoke with an independent source of digital media that reports on fintech, crypto news. He said that the urgent need for a low-cost, reliable infrastructure was essential in order to store all nonfungible tokens within China. According to the tech support provider, NFTs cannot be used in China on private, unreliable chains.

Red Date aims to set up a NFT platform which is compliant and separates from ordinary crypto. This will allow a single authority, to monitor the infrastructure and to act in case of criminal conduct. Yifan He says that Red Date has been working closely with all DDC partners in order to open up the network and comply with Chinese laws and regulations. All gas fees on the BSN–DDC network are paid in fiat currencies.

China Mobile (NYSE:), China UnionPay, as well as the State Information Centre are supporting BSN’s NFT Infrastructure. The BSN-DDC, he said, will be able to support ten different blockchains. This includes a modified version and Corda as well as WeBank’s Fisco Bcos.

In June 2019, the People’s Bank of China declared that all foreign and domestic cryptocurrency exchanges would be closed. It also banned access to Initial Coin Offering sites. This ban was in order to curb all cryptocurrency trading.
