Jason Harris (founder and president of Jerome Baker Designs) is one the most highly regarded glassblowers worldwide, according to the smoking product marketplace SLX. Jerome Baker Design won the High Times Cannabis Cup 2018 for the “Best Glass in Sanoma County” and the second prize in the High Times Cannabis Cup 2018 for the “Best Glass in Sacramento”.

In the 1990s, he founded the company and worked with famous people like Santana, George Clooney and Snoop Dogg.

Harris is ecstatic to be venturing into the community of crypto-driven digital art.He belives that artists “need a certificate of authenticity to connect to the art.” To him, NFTs provide artists with this certification and “create value and legacy.”

Harris states that while other art forms, like sculptures or paintings, are possible to copy, glassblowing cannot be reproduced.

Harris said that five of the bong NFTs will be released on Super Bowl Sunday in succession with his Burnt Orange collection. This is a series that consists translucent bright orange bongs.

Owners of a bong NFT will be eligible for real-world benefits such as glassblowing classes and a trip to the Las Vegas Dream Factory—Jerome Baker Designs Headquarters.

Jerome Baker Designs isn’t the first to experiment with blockchain technology. Since 2012, they have accepted cryptocurrency. Harris thinks that crypto payments will be accepted soon by the majority of people around the globe. It plans to start accepting Ethereum payments soon.
