Citigroup Earnings, Revenue Beat in Q4 -Breaking

Investing.com – Citigroup (NYSE) announced Friday that the fourth quarter beat analyst forecasts with revenue surpassing expectations.

Citigroup posted earnings per share (EPS) of $1.99 on $17.02B in revenue. Investing.com polled analyst to predict EPS of $1.57 based on $17.01B in revenue.

Citigroup shares have increased 12% since the start of the year but are still 15.58% below its 52-week high of $80.29 on June 2, 2021. They are outperforming the S&P Global 100 which is down 0.7% from the start of the year.

Following the release, Citigroup shares fell by 4.09% in premarket trade.

Citigroup’s Friday earnings beat was achieved by JPMorgan, reporting EPS in the range of $3.33 to $29.26B on revenue, as opposed to JPMorgan forecasts of EPS in the range of $3 for revenue of $29.87B.

Wells Fargo&Co had beat expectations on Friday with fourth quarter EPS of $1.38 on revenue of $20.86B, compared to forecast for EPS of $1.1 on revenue of $18.65B.
