France stocks lower at close of trade; CAC 40 down 0.81% -Breaking

Investing.com – France stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.

The Paris closing bell saw the index fall 0.81% and the Paris closing bell witnessed the index drop 0.84%.

These were the best performers of the session Thales (PA:) rose by 2.44%, or 1.92 points, to trade at 80.60 in the closing. Sanofi SA (PA) gained 1.91%, or 1.70 points, to close at 90.62. TotalEnergies SE was also up 1.50% (or 0.73 points) to 49.53 late trade.

By 345 to 211, falling stocks outnumbered advancing on the Paris Stock Exchange, while 91 ended unaffected.

TotalEnergies SE shares (PA:), rose to 52 week highs, up 1.50% (0.73 to 49.53). Electricite de France SA’s shares fell by 14.59%, 1.51 or 8.84 to reach 52-week lows.

The was unchanged at 0%, to 18.96, an all-time 52 week low.

For February delivery, gold futures fell 0.33% to $1815.45 per troy an ounce. Other commodities traded included Crude oil, which rose 1.93 percent to reach $84.05/barrel in February, and March Brent oil, which rose 1.83 to trade at $86.02/barrel.

EUR/USD dropped 0.45% from 1.1402, but EUR/GBP was 0.077% lower at 0.8349

At 95.240, the US Dollar Index Futures rose 0.49%.
