German economy grew 2.7% in 2021 after plunge of 4.6% in 2020 -Breaking

BERLIN (Reuters). The German economy grew 2.7% after plummeting 4.6% during the coronavirus crisis years. Data showed Friday that microchip shortages in Germany had caused a slump in car production and COVID restrictions hampered the recovery of Europe’s biggest economy.

According to a Reuters survey, the preliminary estimate released by Germany’s Federal Statistics Office was consistent with an analyst poll.
