Union Pacific encourages employees to work from home through January -Breaking

(Reuters). – U.S. railroad operator Union Pacific Corp (NYSE 🙂 announced that they were encouraging workers to work at home from Jan. 30 to the Omicron coronavirus variant, as companies are forced to reconsider bringing their employees back to the office due to the rapid-growing Omicron strain of the virus.
Union Pacific stated in an email statement that Thursday, “We continue to encourage employees to inform us about their immunization status and have them vaccinated,”
After a federal judge blocked the Biden administration’s immunization rule for contractors, the company which has operations in 23 states, and links East Coast ports with key terminals such as Chicago, suspended COVID-19 mandated vaccine for its employees.
According to the U.S. Railroad Operator, 73% of 31,000 workers were fully immunized against COVID-19 by Dec. 8.
