BBVA to pay more than 7 billion euros to shareholders in 2021, 2022, chairman says -Breaking

MADRID (Reuters). Spain’s BBVA, MC:, expects to give shareholders more than 7 Billion Euros ($8 Billion) by 2021 and 20,22. That’s roughly a fifth, Chairman Carlos Torres stated in a Monday post to the Spanish bank’s website.

Torres claimed that this amount also included a 3.5billion euro share buyback, which was already announced and underway for the 1.5billion euros tranche.

This also contains the anticipated dividends for two years. It is based upon analysts’ consensus profit estimates and the new bank policy of paying 40-50% profit.

Torres said that Torres was willing to make additional investments or distribute shareholder shares “in order be within our target range” with a capital ratio of 11.5 to 12 percent for 2024.
