© Reuters. Japan stocks up at the close of trade, Nikkei225 up 0.74Investing.com – Japan stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.
The added 0.7% was at Tokyo’s close.
These were the best performers of the session Shimizu Corp. (T:) rose 4.29%, or 31.0 points, to trade at 754.0 by the close. NH Foods Ltd, (T:), added 3.59% (155.0 points) to reach 4470.0. Taisei Corp. Late trade saw a 3.22% increase in T:, or 115.0 points, to 3690.0
They were also the worst performers of the session. Toho Zinc Co., Ltd. (T:) fell 4.50%, or 115.0 point to trade at 2441.0 after the close. Yamato Holdings Co., Ltd. (T) fell 2.83%, or 71.0 point to finish at 2435.0. Hitachi Ltd (T) was down 2.59% (or 178.0 points) to 6683.0.
On the Tokyo Stock Exchange, falling stocks outnumbered those in progress by 2108 to 1455 and 236 ending unchanged.
Yamato Holdings Co., Ltd. shares fell 52 weeks ago to their lowest point. They lost 2.83%, or 71.0, to 2435.0.
The implied volatility index of Nikkei’s 225 options was unchanged at 0% and 21.90.
Oil for March delivery rose 0.65%, or 0.54, to $83.84/barrel. Brent oil, which was due for delivery March 4, rose 0.46 to $86.54/barrel, and the February Gold Futures contract rose 4.75 or 0.26% respectively to trade at $1821.25 per troy ounce.
USD/JPY went up 0.25 to 114.48 while EUR/JPY fell 0.35% at 130.80.
At 95.110, the US Dollar Index Futures fell 0.05%.
