The yield on the U.S. 10-year Treasury note jumped to 1.83% Tuesday morning.

This move comes just days after the U.S. market holiday Monday. It indicates that investors have begun to prepare for more aggressive Federal Reserve tightening.

Yields are inversely related to price movements and one basis point equals 0.01%.
