Bank of NY Mellon shares rose 9.5% over the first of the year but are down 1.44% compared to its 52 week peak of $64.53 which was set on January 13th. They are outperforming the S&P 500 which is down 2.17% from the start of the year.

Wells Fargo&Co had beat expectations on Friday with fourth quarter EPS of $1.38 on revenue of $20.86B, compared to forecast for EPS of $1.11 on revenue of $18.84B.
