Mastercard and Coinbase Partner On NFT Purchases -Breaking

Investing.com — Coinbase Global Inc (NASDAQ:) announced on its blog Tuesday that it has teamed up with Mastercard Inc (NYSE:) to “revolutionize” the NFT purchase experience. 

According to the cryptocurrency exchange, Mastercard is working to make NFTs “digital goods”, so that more people can buy them. They are also working together to create a Mastercard-compatible way for NFTs can be bought.

Coinbase has recently launched its NFT marketplace. It is appropriately named “Coinbase NFT” and will enable users to buy, mint, and sell NFTs. 

“Thanks to our work with Mastercard, we’ll be able to provide a better customer experience on Coinbase NFT, and plan on working to find ways to bring this opportunity to the broader ecosystem through Mastercard’s scale and global network,” Coinbase said in its blog post. 

Coinbase shares have fallen 3.5% on Tuesday. Mastercard shares also fell by 1%.
