WHO says no evidence healthy children, adolecents need COVID-19 boosters -Breaking

(Reuters) – No evidence is currently available to suggest that adolescents and children a healthy for COVID-19 boosters are needed, Soumya Swminathan, Chief Scientist at World Health Organization, stated Tuesday.

At a press conference, she stated that there was some loss of immunity to the Omicron coronavirus over the years, but more research is needed to determine who requires booster doses.

Swaminathan stated that the WHO’s leading group of experts will meet this week to discuss the question of whether countries should give boosters to their population.
