Biden says ‘not there yet’ on possible easing of tariffs on Chinese goods -Breaking

WASHINGTON, (Reuters) – U.S. President Joe Biden said Wednesday that it was too early to commit to lifting U.S. duties on Chinese products. However, Katherine Tai, his chief trade negotiator was still working on this issue.
Biden stated that he would like to see China meet their obligations, or increase their commitments and then be able lift some, but they are not yet there. He was referring to China’s Phase 1 trade agreement signed by Donald Trump.
China’s pledge to the United States of $200 billion worth of additional goods and services has been breached.
