Atlantia posts 19% jump in 2021 revenue as sale of motorway unit nears -Breaking

MILAN (Reuters – Italy’s Atlantia said Thursday that its full-year revenues rose 19%, to 6.3 billion Euros ($7.4 billion), excluding the domestic motorway company it agreed to sell.
Thanks to positive performances by foreign motorway operators and a lower turnover for 2021 than expected, however, COVID-19’s resurgence in the fourth quarter penalised the airport business.
Benetton’s family controls the company. They claim that earnings before interest and tax, amortisation, and depreciation rose 29% to $4 billion last year. That figure excludes Autostrade per l’Italia’s contribution. Autostrade per l’Italia is the domestic motorway unit of the group that it sold following the 2018 bridge collapse.($1 = 0.8821 euros)
