Investing.com — General Motors Company’s (NYSE:) President Mark Reuss announced that the Cadillac LYRIQ pre-production has rolled off Spring Hill.

Afternoon trading saw a 1.1% drop in GM shares.

Reuss stated that they expect to deliver the all-electric cars to their customers in a matter of months.

Spring Hill Manufacturing, the manufacturing site of the company, is located in Spring Hill. GM announced that it had invested $2 billion on the site in less than a year.

Reuss said that the LYRIQ team worked hard to launch the product nine months earlier than expected and then work in parallel to transform the facility and begin production.

This is a significant proof point on our journey to EV leadership as we introduce higher-volume EVs at all price points and lifestyles.

GM makes a huge play in the areas of clean and electric energy. It announced Wednesday that it plans to grow its hydrogen fuel cells business, which will include electric cars.
