Ryanair expects higher Europe fares in the sector this summer -Breaking

DUBLIN (Reuters – Ryanair predicts a drop of 10-15% in European short-haul seat availability next summer, according to a senior executive. This would push up average fares within the sector compared pre-pandemic levels.

“The overall view of the situation is that Europe’s seats are decreasing, and so fares will rise. “They have to,” stated Eddie Wilson, CEO of Ryanair DAC (the largest Ryanair Group airline).

Ryanair’s average fare would be higher than he anticipated, but he declined to say so due to reporting restrictions. Ryanair’s financial results for the third quarter are expected to be released on January 31.
