Investing.com – Saudi Arabia stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.

Saudi Arabia’s closing bell saw an increase of 0.25% that reached a five-year record.

Nama Chemicals Co., which gained 5.87% (or 2.30 points) to close at 41.50 Meanwhile, Middle East Paper Co (SE 🙂 gained 3.98% (or 1.95 points) to close at 50.90. Sadr Logistics Co. was up 3.71% (or 3.00) to 83.90 in trade late.

Yanbu National Petrochemical Co. (SE:) was the worst performer of the session, falling 2.64% or 1.90 point to close at 70.00. Alkhorayef Water and Power Technologies Co (SE:) declined 2.28% or 2.60 points to end at 111.20 and Alkhaleej Training & Education Co (SE:) was down 1.98% or 0.40 points to 19.80.

On the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange, falling stocks outnumbered those in progress by 113 to 91% and 20 ending unchanged.

Middle East Paper Co. (SE:) shares rose to new highs, gaining 3.98% (1.95 to 50.90).

Crude oil fell 0.14% to $85.68/barrel for March delivery. Brent oil fell 0.35 percent to $88.09 per barrel in March commodities trading. The February Gold Futures contract traded at $1847.25 an ounce.

EUR/SAR rose 0.08% to 4.2578. USD/SAR fell 0.00% at 3.7513.

At 95.480, the US Dollar Index Futures fell 0.02%.
