Barclays, Deutsche join bank rush to reopen offices in England -Breaking

LONDON (Reuters). Barclays (LON) Deutsche Bank (DE) has told staff that they can go back to England’s office. They join a growing group of banks that have reopened their offices after COVID-19 restrictions were removed this week.

A spokesperson for Deutsche Bank stated that employees can return to their office starting Jan. 31.

According to Reuters, a source who was familiar with the situation said that Barclays will resume hybrid work in England next week.

Deutsche Bank office locations were used by traders and some staff, however, others are now able to return. Most employees spend around three days per week at the office, according to the spokesperson.

They join other banks, including Standard Chartered (OTC), Citigroup (NYSE :), Goldman Sachs NYSE :, and HSBC have moved quickly to return people in the office after England’s government dropped work from home guidance.
