(Reuters] – Sunday’s statement by the United States stated it had ordered the evacuation of all eligible relatives from the embassy of Ukraine. All citizens are advised to consider fleeing the country due to Russian military actions.

Talks between the U.S. delegation and Russia’s diplomats were unsuccessful Friday. Moscow continues to mass troops along its border with neighboring countries.

Britain accused Russia of trying to put a proRussian leader in Kyiv.

According to the State Department, it authorized the voluntary departure of direct-hire employees of the United States and directed the removal of family members who are eligible from Embassy Kyiv because of the ongoing threat of Russian military actions.

It stated that Americans living in Ukraine should think about leaving now and using private transportation.
