(Reuters) – Police were unable to identify a suspect in the shooting death of five people at a Milwaukee house on Sunday. Officials appealed for assistance from the public.

Paul Formolo (assistant chief of Milwaukee Police Department) said that officers responding to calls from neighbors found one man and four women dead in their Park West neighborhood. He said that the policy had not yet identified the victims and that autopsies will be performed on Monday.

Formolo said that we don’t know the motive or information of any suspected suspects at this time. Formolo asked for information from people who would like to report any details to a tip-line.

Following a record year for Milwaukee, which saw 197 homicides in 2020-21, the director of the city’s office of violence prevention lamented the incident.
