DETROIT – Ford MotorBronco is expanding its SUV range to include a Raptor model. It will be available later in the year and go on sale at approximately $70,000

Ford Bronco Raptor 2022 is an addition to the already extensive lineup of SUVs. The automaker has been trying to meet an order bank of tens of thousands of reservation holders for current models. Ford stated that the majority of new Raptor models would be available to current reservation holders. Orders will open in March, and delivery begins in the summer.

Derek Bier (Ford performance vehicle engineering manager), stated, “This car is not just a Bronco. But it’s earned the Raptor emblem.”

Although the Broncoraptor has many similarities to existing models, it comes with a variety of performance and offroad components specifically built for extreme rock crawling as well. A trait that is shared with F-150 Raptors, it’s nearly 10 inches longer than the current models.

It also has a FORD Raptor grill, similar to F-150, an enhanced hood with additional cooling vents, unique tail lights, and an upscale interior that includes additional structural bars, a 12-inch driver’s instrument cluster, and new 12 inch steering wheel.

Paul Wraith (Bronco’s chief design officer) stated that the vehicle is “very, very powerful.” It is an extremely hungry animal. It requires cooling.

According to Ford, the Bronco Raptor’s 3.0-liter twin-turbo motor will produce more than 400 horses. This compares to the Bronco’s existing top engine, which is a 2.7-liter Twin-turbo with up to 335 horsepower.

Ford announced that the price of Ford’s Bronco Raptor starts at $69 995. The current starting price Broncos range from about $30,000 to $50,000.
