Supreme Court takes up cases challenging affirmative action in college admissions

On Monday, the Supreme Court agreed to hear two appeals challenging college admission policies which consider race when admitting students.

Harvard University and University of North Carolina are being sued. They claim that admissions policies discriminate against Asian applicants and engage in “racial balancencing”.
