Investing.com – U.S. stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.

The index gained 0.29% at the close of NYSE. Meanwhile, the index gained 0.28%. And the index climbed 0.63%.

These were the best performers of the session Home Depot Inc (NYSE 🙂 traded at 363.81 after the close by gaining 4.21%. That’s 14.71 point. The Travelers Companies Inc (NYSE 🙂 gained 3.83%, or 6.22 points, to close at 168.83 Nike Inc (NYSE: ) rose 2.13%, or 3.05 points, to 146.00 by late trade.

These were the worst performers of the session. Visa Inc The Class A (NYSEA:) fell 1.98%, or 4.08 points, to close at 201.85. Merck & Company Inc (NYSE:) declined 1.44% or 1.15 points to end at 78.83 and Johnson & Johnson (NYSE:) was down 1.15% or 1.90 points to 162.97.

The top performers on the S&P 500 were Gap Inc (NYSE:) which rose 7.94% to 17.12, Bath Body Works Inc (NYSE:) which was up 5.90% to settle at 56.18 and Generac Holdlings Inc (NYSE:) which gained 5.49% to close at 286.05.

They were among the most disappointing. Signature Bank (NASDAQ:), down 3.3% to 314.17 late trade DISH Network Corporation (NASDAQ:), which fell 2.93% to settle for 30.83 Electronic Arts Inc (NASDAQ:) The close was down by 2.74% at 135.20

Top performers in the NASDAQ Composite are ShiftPixy Inc (NASDAQ:) which rose 38.71% to 1.720, Greenwich Lifesciences Inc (NASDAQ:) which was up 26.99% to settle at 20.70 and Bt Brands Inc (NASDAQ:), which saw a 25.61% increase to reach 3.10.

Yoshitsu Co Ltd (NASDAQ:), which fell 84.11% to 4.69 late trade in the worst performing stocks ReTo Eco-Solutions Inc (NASDAQ:), which fell 54.89% to settle for 0.7850 Pintec Technology Holdings Ltd (NASDAQ:) The close was down 52.66% at 0.6580

On the New York Stock Exchange, falling stocks outnumbered those advancing by 1821-1517, and 107 closed unchanged.

EUR/USD rose 0.1% to 1.1324 while USD/JPY rose by 0.04%, to 113.96.

The US Dollar Index Futures were up 0.2% at 95.885.
