Julian Assange is Wikileaks’ founder. He will be allowed to challenge the decision to allow him to be extradited from the UK to face criminal charges.
The U.S. government appealed to London’s High Court in December. Assange moved closer to extradition from Britain to the United States.
However, Monday’s court ruling allowed him to appeal the decision to the Supreme Court of the country.
U.S. authorities are seeking Assange in connection to the publication of hundreds, thousands of classified military documents as well diplomatic cables between 2010 and 2011.
He is accused of 18 charges, which means he could face a 175 year sentence in prison.
