Verizon Earnings, Revenue Beat in Q4 -Breaking

Verizon (NYSE:), Investing.com and Verizon reported that their fourth quarter results beat the forecasts of analysts. They also had a record revenue, which exceeded expectations.

Verizon reported earnings per share at $1.31 on $34.1B in revenue. Investing.com polled analysts and predicted an EPS of $1.29 for revenue of $33.93B.

Verizon shares rose 1% over the first of the year. However, they are down 11.511% from their 52-week peak of $59.85 on May 10, 2021. They are outperforming the S&P 500 which is down 7.47% from the start of the year.

Verizon is following other significant earnings in the Communication Services sector this month

This report by Verizon follows a Netflix earnings beat on Thursday. Netflix reported an EPS figure of $1.33 for revenue $7.71B. Forecasts were for EPS figures of $0.8328 for revenue $7.71B.

Sify beat all expectations Monday, posting a fourth quarter EPS (EPS) of $2.24 on $7.78B in revenue. This compares to the forecast of EPS (2.22 per cent on $8.23B revenue).
