Ford, Jiangling form China joint venture to sell SUVs, vans -Breaking

(Reuters) – Ford Motor Co (NYSE:) Co has formed a joint venture with Jiangling Motors Corp to strengthen Ford’s reach and sales efforts in China.

Jiangling Ford Automobile Technology Shanghai (Shanghai) Co is a Ford dealer. It primarily sells SUVs and vans, mainly from JMC. The network includes 181 showrooms located in the major Chinese cities.

It includes the Ford Equator Sport, which is a mid-size SUV that seats five people and features advanced driver assist and a Tencent information system.

Additional Ford models will be available through the JV, such as the Territory and Equator, Equator, Tourneo, Everest, Equator, and Equator.
