YouTube plans to join the NFT Space and Web3.0

YouTube CEO Susan Wojcicki published recently a letter outlining the video sharing and social media platform’s plans and priorities for 2022. This release stated that YouTube was exploring new ways to capitalize on Web 3.0, allowing both viewers and video creators to reap the benefits of NFTs.

“We’re also looking further ahead to the future and have been following everything happening in Web3 as a source of inspiration to continue innovating on YouTube.

We’re always focused on expanding the YouTube ecosystem to help creators capitalize on emerging technologies, including things like NFTs, while continuing to strengthen and enhance the experiences creators and fans have on YouTube,”
Wojcicki highlighted.

Also, she mentioned how inspiring all of the Web 3.0 events have been, particularly since technology (crypto and DAOs and NFTs), provides new possibilities and avenues for creators to connect with their fans.

Twitter (NYSE: ) lets users clearly show their NFTs. Meta announced plans to embed NFTs on its social media platforms Facebook, NASDAQ: and Instagram. The NFT market would explode if YouTube joined the party.
