Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi alliance say to deepen cooperations in EV production -Breaking

TOKYO (Reuters), Renault SA, Nissan Motor Co and Mitsubishi Motors (OTC] on Thursday announced that they intend to strengthen cooperation in electric car production. Their ten-year-old alliance position themselves to compete with EVs as the auto market shifts to e-vehicles.
According to a press release they will raise the number of EV-compatible platforms from 4 to 5, and aim to create a combined EV fleet of 35 vehicles by 2030.
According to the carmakers, four fifths will be made using their common platform by 2026 as opposed to 60 percent now.
