(Reuters) -Business jet maker Textron Inc (NYSE:) Reports a revenue dip in fourth quarter due to labor shortages, lingering supply chain problems and reduced deliveries.

It is becoming more difficult for suppliers and corporate planemakers to respond to resurgent parts demand because of global shipping disruptions and supply chain disruptions.

Companies in aerospace are facing shortages of semiconductor chips and plastics and have to pay more for materials such as steel and aluminum. Also, shipping delays are common as companies struggle to hire enough workers and find skilled workers.

Textron projects revenue of approximately $13.3 billion in 2022, as compared with analysts’ estimates at $13.56 billion according to the Refinitiv IBES statistics. For 2022, the earnings per share are estimated to be between $3.80 and $4.00.

Analysts had predicted that the business jet manufacturer would earn $3.44 trillion in revenue over the same period.

Textron’s Aviation Unit, which produces the Cessna Jet, saw revenue drop to $1.35 Billion from $1.56 Billion a year earlier.

The company reported income of $207 million, or $0.93 cents per share, for the quarter compared with a profit of $236 million, or $1.03 cents per share, a year earlier.
