AstraZeneca China summoned over suspected fraud -Breaking

According to the regulator for the state’s medical insurance fund, authorities ordered all suspects arrested. However, they did not provide details about the suspicions or how large the funds were involved.
The NHSA demanded that AstraZeneca China close any loopholes regarding supervision of marketing activities.
The company stated that some of its employees had participated or altered patient testing results in Shenzhen’s southern region, and was suspected of insurance fraud.
According to the report, officials from company were briefed by the NHSA in December and the public security ministry about their investigation.
According to it, “AstraZeneca China is very sensitive about employee misconduct and we welcome the MOPS recommendations.”
A spokesperson for AstraZeneca stated that all the employees in the Shenzhen case involved were Chinese citizens.
According to the statement the company had taken appropriate disciplinary measures against the employees involved and also reported violations to authorities.
The NHSA stated that authorities will begin nationwide campaigns to eradicate fraud that alters genetic test results. They also asked for those who are responsible to surrender.
