NATO chief says no plans to send combat troops to Ukraine if Russia invades -Breaking

LONDON, (Reuters) – NATO does not intend to send combat troops to Ukraine as a non-NATO member in case of an invasion by Russia, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg stated on Sunday.

When asked by BBC Television whether Stoltenberg would consider deploying NATO troops in Ukraine in the event of Russia’s invasion, Stoltenberg replied: “We don’t plan to send NATO combat troops to Ukraine… We are focusing our support on that.”

There is a distinction between NATO membership and being an important and valued partner like Ukraine. It’s clear that this is the case.
