Some ticket prices are up as much as 100%

It’s becoming less frequent to go out, and it is also much more expensive.

In general, the prices that consumers pay for goods and services recently notched their largest year-over-year jump since 1982.

Only gas prices are up by an astounding 58.1% over last year. That’s not even to mention the distance you have to travel.

The price of a table for two has dropped significantly. Since the outbreak, restaurants have had to raise prices for their meals in order to meet ongoing staffing shortages and increase food costs.

Many have to increase wages in order to retain workers. This also means that menu prices may look different.

Overall, the cost of eating out rose 6% over the last year, also the highest jump since 1982, according to the U.S. Department of Labor (although the cost of eating at home rose even faster).

The National Association of Theatre Owners says that a visit to the cinema still costs approximately the same amount as before the Covid epidemic. This may be the best price around, with just below $10 per head.

However, attendance costs at almost all other events are on the rise.

A concert ticket for 2019 would cost you about $96, but the average price of a concert ticket is around $86, and this year, the prices will be record-breaking when Coldplay, Billie Eilish (Billie Eilish), Justin Bieber. John Mayer, Coldplay and The Weeknd take to the roads.

If sports are more your thing, NBA and NHL tickets cost about $94 a seat, on average, according to SeatGeek data, while the average ticket for an NFL match up, not including playoff games, costs even more — roughly $151, SeatGeek found. If possible, get it.

The average ticket price on the secondary market where these tickets were sold jumped approximately 28% in sporting events, and 45% for concert shows, since the outbreak.

From $198, the average NFL ticket resale value rose to $237.

This is a story that’s similar for art-goers.

New York’s Metropolitan Museum of Art used to require a donation from entrants. However, this is now restricted to New York State residents only and students within the tri-state region. For general admission, all other visitors will need to pay $25  

There are many other museums including: According to DealA’s report, the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth, and the Crocker Art Museum, Sacramento, California raised their ticket prices at least half-way, according to an analysis of coupon and deal sites DealA. DealA compared last month’s adult general admission prices to 2017 prices.

Ticket prices to other attractions also hard hit by Covid restrictions have shot up by much more — as much as twice what they were pre-pandemic, DealA found.

The Funland amusement park is now $30. This compares to $15 only a few short years ago. Dollywood in Pigeon Forge (Tennessee); Sesame Park in Bucks County. Pennsylvania; Santa’s Village. New Hampshire’s Christmas-themed theme park. Both raised their admissions rates by 22% and 29% respectively.
