Having been involved in blockchain and crypto projects for the past ten years, Pareščius actively mentors companies and startups. As an advisor for Lithuania’s government, Parescius also took part in European Parliament and European Commission working groups.

Nurturing Innovation
Pareščius started along his path to the high-tech world back in 1985. In 1999 he co-founded one of the first Lithuanian startups – Draugas.lt. This platform was among the first to create a huge online community in the Baltic countries. He has been a CEO and advisor for dozens of internet, security, or IT projects. This entrepreneur worked closely with software companies, banks, data centers and web hosting companies as well as the retail industry and associations in Europe, Russia, Ukraine and Belarus.

He founded Business Hive Vilnius in 2010, one of the most storied and respected startup incubators and technology centers in the Baltic Region. BHV is a startup incubator that focuses on security, hardware and software startups.

As vice president of PaySera (one of the most coveted and popular European payment systems that offers its services in more than 70 countries worldwide), his extensive knowledge of fintech was invaluable.

Active Participation
Pareščius is intimately involved with the processes of high-tech and creative industries associations. The CEO of Lithuanian Cluster Association is Parescius. It represents Lithuanian Clusters in both national and international settings. Clusters are aimed at cross-sectorial innovation. They build value chains in the region and help to access new markets and acquire valuable information.

Pareščius is also president of the Lithuanian Startup Cluster, which aims to grow a thriving startup ecosystem, helping its members to innovate, learn, and attract funding. As an advisor on matters of IT security, Pareščius is the CEO and President of the International Security Cluster. Pareščius further bestows his considerable experience as a board member and former vice-president of the Lithuanian ICT Association Infobalt.

In recent years, Marius Pareščius has primarily focused his attention on the information and communications technology and startup business sectors, particularly specializing in blockchain technologies, fintech, and cyber security.
