REUTERS/Peter NichollsLONDON (Reuters), – Boris Johnson, British Prime Minster, has been updated on the ongoing internal investigation into lockdown breaches at Downing Street’s residence. The Cabinet Office issued a statement Monday.
Johnson faces the most serious threat to his premiership due to the alleged lockdown busting parties at his house and at Number 10 Downing Street. Johnson asked lawmakers to wait to receive the report of Sue Gray, senior civil servant.
A spokesperson for the Cabinet Office said that “We can confirm Sue Gray has given an update about her investigations to Prime Minister”
London’s Metropolitan Police stated Friday that they have opened an investigation into certain events in order to determine if criminal offenses were committed. They wanted the report to only be “minimally relevant” to such events.
