U.S. FTC to review Microsoft deal for Activision

(Reuters). – Antitrust review Microsoft Corp Bloomberg News, citing a person with knowledge of the matter, reported that Activision Blizzard Inc’s (NASDAQ) proposed acquisition will be managed by the U.S. Federal Trade Commission.

According to the report the FTC would oversee any investigation that might be done in order to determine if the merger will result in harming competition.

FTC, Activision and Microsoft have not yet responded to Reuters inquiries for comment.
