USTR official says China failed to meet ‘Phase 1’ trade deal commitments -Breaking

WASHINGTON, (Reuters) – China failed to meet its obligations under a 2-year Phase 1 trade agreement that was signed by Trump’s administration at the end last year.

Bianchi said, “You are correct that China did not fulfill its Phase 1 commitments. We’ve been actively engaged in discussions — specifically with my counterpart Beijing — about this matter.” He was speaking at the Washington International Trade Association’s virtual forum.
