CNN did not respond to CNBC’s requests for comment.

The New York Times identified her as Allison Gollust who is executive vice president of CNN Worldwide and chief marketing officers.

Gollust served previously as the communications director for New York’s former governor. Andrew Cuomo is Chris’ older brother.

Gollust made the following statement to The Times: “Jeff has been close friend and partner for over twenty years.”

“Recently our relationship was affected by Covid. It was a regrettable decision that it wasn’t made public at the appropriate time. Gollust expressed his pride in CNN’s time and said that she looks forward to doing more of the same.
