Ex-Credit Suisse chairman fined nearly $2,200 for breaking COVID rules

REUTERS/Stefan Wermuth.ZURICH, Reuters – The Former Credit Suisse (SIX) Chairman Antonio Horta Osorio was ordered to pay a fine in the amount of 2,000 Swiss Francs ($2,178), for violating COVID-19 quarantine rules, Swiss newspaper Blick reported Wednesday.
After he was discovered to have broken COVID-19 quarantine rules two times in 2021, the executive has been fined further.

According to the newspaper, the Investigations Office of Uznach in St Gallen was responsible for the penalty. The paper stated that he was required to pay a 350-franc fine and court fees. However, it wasn’t clear if he accepted the sentence.
A spokesperson from Horta Osorio and the Investigations Office were not available for immediate comment. Credit Suisse declined comment.
